    There are several ways to spend your vacation in Ios. You may book a holiday pack from a travel agent, covering all the expences and including every ticket that you may need, from your house to the hotel that you 'll choose to stay! There are   several Tour operators that are co operating with Homer's Inn hotel. A list of these is shown below. For the most adventurus however, you may come organising your arrival in Ios yourself. Firstly you should book a flight ticket form your country to a Greek airport. Unfortunately Ios doesn't have one. The nearest airport is in Santorini, which is 45 minutes away by boat. Then you should find out how to get a route from there to Ios. If you fly to Santorini that's trivial, since you only need to buy a boat ticket to Ios. There are many boats every day and you should always find tickets available. In case your are not flying to Santorini you should ckeck whether the place you 'll fly to is connected to Ios via a boat route. For example if you fly to Athens you just have to get to the port (Pireaus) and buy a ticket to Ios (8 hr. trip). Once more you shouldn't have any problem finding a ticket. New boats timetables are not issued almost every week but you shouldn't worry about that since connection to Ios is rather frequent. Following the second "method" is not always the cheapest, because Tour operators do not buy tickets (or hotel rooms) in the same price as an individual. Therefore you should check the price difference first.
