We are currently offer two types of free of charge Internet access:
- Free Wireless Internet Access (Hotspot):
Our current wireless infrastructure covers building 1, the whole swimming pool area and several rooms in building 3 (It even covers several kilometers on the valley). Most rooms and public areas should now be covered by the network. If you wish wireless access in the room please request it explicitly and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
The wireless protocols supported are 802.11 b and g on channels 6 and 11. No security protocols are deployed in order to provide easy access (Just an access control scheme we name the Word of the Day). The hot spot’s SSID starts with “HOMERS_INN”.
- Free Internet Access from the Swimming Pool Bar:
We have set up a Fedora Core PC which is available free of charge for anyone to use. The PC is located at the Swimming Pool (available at Pool Bar opening hours), so you will not miss your emails or favorite web pages while spending your holiday vacation on Ios Island!
